Female Stonechat - Lake Hula

Visited Lake Hula (Northen Israel) after the day in the Negev. Shortly after entering the reserve a male and female stonechat showed up. The Female after alighting on this post flew down and picked up a juicy bug returning to the post for it's photo!

Little Green Bee-eater - Negev Desert

During a hike in the Negev Desert in Jan 2010 I watched this Little Green Bee-eater flying around catching butterflies and managed to grab some reasonable handheld photos of the action.
